Turi
Imports, located in Alajuela, Costa Rica, offers beautiful handcrafted, mango furniture to
the general public at discounted prices.
As Costa Rica faces the effects of deforestation of its hardwoods and demand for high
quality lumber steadily increases, a sustainable alternative such as mango wood makes ecological sense. Although mango
trees grow plentiful in Costa Rica, at this time, it is only the fruit that is harvested.
A mango tree stops producing
quality and quantity fruit after about twenty years.* In Southeast Asia, where Turi
Imports' inventory is hand crafted, the mango wood is kiln dried and a fine French polish applied to enhance
the grain in the wood and protect the finished piece.
You'll discover this hardwood, eco friendly furniture is heavy and dense with a lovely
grain similar to tiger's eye maple. The different styles Turi Imports offers
are clean and simple, suitable for any type of decor.
Currently our inventory includes dining tables, sideboards with wine rack, cabinets with glass doors, end tables,
coffee tables, nesting tables, CD/DVD storage units, sofa tables, dining room tables and much more!
If you are searching for fine wood furniture in Costa Rica, you'll want
to compare our low prices and our high quality mango wood furnishings.
Turi Imports is open by appointment only;
our warehouse is conveniently located near the Costa Rica International Airport in Alajuela, San Jose.

* The life cycle of a Mango tree producing fruit can be 40 years or more, however, the
quality and quantity of fruit is less desirable at around 20 years. Sustainable farming practices chop down the mango tree
at approximately 20 years, utilize the lumber and plant anew for harvesting quality fruit and higher yields.
